What Inventory is

• A planning aid for iPad and iPhone: it shows for every client when medication is likely to run low and should be reordered.
• Inventory prepares the prescription request to the practice. You check the email and send it yourself.
• Inventory works with what your team enters. The figures are estimates; counting is still required.
• Inventory does not replace care documentation, care software or a doctor’s prescription.

Who is behind it

I am, Anotida. I’m a Heilerziehungspfleger – a care professional in disability support – and I develop Inventory on my own. There is no company with a sales team and no hotline – you write to me directly. More about me; the address is in the legal notice.

Where the data lives

• Only on your devices. There is no server, no cloud and no tracking.
• Data is stored encrypted per group. Clients appear under a client number.
• As the provider, I receive no client, medication or usage data from the app. Your care service or facility is responsible for this data.

What happens if I’m unavailable

• Inventory doesn’t depend on a server that could be switched off. The installed app keeps working, and the data stays on your devices.
• With an encrypted backup, you can restore everything on a new device.
• One limit during the test phase: Apple lets every TestFlight version expire 90 days after release. After that it no longer opens until a new version is installed. Your data stays on the device.
• There is currently no export to other software.

What it costs

Nothing during the test phase. What comes after is not decided yet. Before anything changes, you’ll hear about it by email or in the newsletter.

What to settle before you start

• Made-up client numbers are enough for the test. Please use real client data only after agreeing it within your organisation.
• Before real data: record of processing activities and data protection impact assessment with your data protection officer.
• Set a device passcode on every device, manage the devices centrally if possible (MDM), and make backups regularly.
• Several carers share one device, each with their own sign-in. Several devices with the same stock aren’t possible yet.

How to start

1. Request test access.
2. Apple invites you to TestFlight, its free app for pre-release versions. The app itself is in German.
3. Create a group, assign roles, add client numbers, scan packs.
